Q. What time does the event start?
A. The event starts at 9:00 AM. Packet pick up on Race Day begins at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:30 AM. 10K Runners will begin first, followed by 5K runners and walkers approximately 10 minutes later. We suggest that you arrive early for packet pick up and race day instructions.
Q: When can I pick up my race packet?
A: All packets will be available for pick-up on Race Day at the registration table. Registration opens from 7:30 - 8:30 AM on Race Day. If you would like to pick up your packet earlier, you may do so at the Choices Pregnancy Center office on Thursday, October 4th from 9 AM-4 PM.
Q: What is the time limit for the races?
A: All participants are expected to complete the 6.2 mile 10K course within 2 hours. The course will close at 11:00 AM.
Q: I registered for the event but haven't received a confirmation. How do I find out if I'm registered?
A: Check your online credit transactions first, and then email race director, Mark Fromert at [email protected] with additional questions.
Q: How will the race be timed?
A: Chip Timing and scoring will be provided.
Q: I'm not a runner. Can I walk the whole race?
A: Yes, absolutely!
Q: Can I register the day of the event?
A: YES! Race Day Registration will be open at 7:30 AM and will stay open until 8:30 AM. To avoid the rush, please download the Registration Form and have your check filled out to save time. We do accept credit cards on race day. Registrations received after September 26th cannot be guaranteed a tshirt.
Q: Where is the start and finish location of the race?
A: The start and finish of the race are located just off the parking lot in Terrapin Park. For directions to Terrapin Park, please click here.
Q: Where can I park before the event?
A: There will be ample parking for all race participants free of charge. Parking attendants will be directing traffic on race day. All parking will be within easy walking distance to the starting line.
Q: Will there be a place I can put my belongings on race day?
A: No there will not. Please leave your belongings in your vehicle. Parking is very close to Race start and registration.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?
A: Yes! Nice ones, please :) Bring the WHOLE family out for a beautiful walk!
Q: How many aide stations will be on the course?
A: Runners in the 5K will have access to water/aid stations at the Race Start and Finish, as well as at the 1.5 mile mark.
Runners in the 10K will have access to water/aid stations at the Race Start and Finish, as well as at the 1.5 mile and 4.5 mile mark.
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course?
A: Yes. Bear in mind that the trail is a NATURE trail and there are some portions that are uneven and/or rocky. There is a small 100 foot section of sand that can traversed easily if two people pick up a stroller.
Q: My family or friends are going to be watching the race. What is available for spectators to do before and after the event?
A: The Family Festival will be available to spectators and friends while the race is ongoing, as well as afterwards. All are welcome and encouraged to hang around and enjoy great food, fun and fellowship together!
Q: Will I be able to pick up my chip when picking up my race packet?
A: Yes. Your timing chip will be attached to your runner's bib, which you will receive in your packet.
Q: Who is organizing the event?
A: The organizers of the event are volunteers that support the local, non-profit crisis pregnancy center in Easton, Choices Pregnancy Center. Please click here for more information on Choices.
Q: What is the percentage of proceeds that will be awarded to the pregnancy center?
A: 100% of the net proceeds will benefit Choices Pregnancy Center.
Q: How can I learn more about Choices and how I may become involved?
A: Please contact our Executive Director, Sharon Finecey at 410-507-2102 or [email protected] to learn more about getting involved, volunteer training programs, and ways to support the ministry of Choices.
Q: What will I receive at packet pick up?
A: You will receive your bib number, chip , packet inserts and coupons from local businesses, and t-shirt.
Q: What is the latest date to register?
A: Online registration closes on October 4th. Race Day registration will be available, but you are strongly encouraged to pre-register online in order to ensure t-shirt availability and sizing. Registrations received after September 26th cannot be guarenteed tshirts. To register online, please see our Registration Page.
Q: Can you explain how the timing chip works?
A: The chip will be worn by each participant on their shoe and will be monitored by the timing system. Your time will not start until you cross the pad at the starting line and will not end until you cross the pad at the finish line. So, in essence, you do not need to be concerned if you are placed farther back off the start line.
Q: Can I sign up a Race Team?
A: Yes! We encourage Team participation. Please check our Team Participation page for details on how and why you should become a MOMBASSADOR!
Q: Does the race have a "rain date"?
A: No. We will hold the event rain or shine.
Q: What is the Miles for Moms policy on t-shirts?
A: All participants who are preregistered before September 26th are guaranteed a t-shirt. Registrations received after that point will be given while supplies last.
Q: Will photographs be available of Race Day events and race finishers?
A: There will be photographers positioned around the course during the races themselves, as well as at the Finish Line during both races. Photographers will also be documenting the Festival events afterward. Photographs will be available for viewing on this website approximately 1 week after the event.
